Welcome

General idea:

To create a community, a space of life, an experimental place based upon love, sharing, self production which leads towards self suffisance,  where the aim is to live in agreement (as much as possible) with our thoughts, and to minimize our participation in the general waste and exploitation of others. Of course, everyone has his/her own reasons to take part in such a project. The ideas, the function, the organization of the place are to be defined with the people willing to join the project.

The place:

A few years from now, a small farm in Lorraine (East of France, between Metz and Château-Salins) will become available. A building, a herd of goats and cows, a cheese dairy and 20 hectares of land will, eventually, be available too for this project. Then, we would develop everything that we need or have envy of: various production of food, livestock, various handcrafting, workshops, creations… And to build and live in small, personal and ecological house, with some bigger and more collective places.

What needs the community:

* Some people whom desire to participate to the project, for some days, weeks, months, years. Some acknowledge people in different fields (agriculture, gardening, bee keeping, self-building, carpentries, masonry, different handcraft, art…). Some people looking for a place to live in simplicity for short or long term, surrounded by other people. Some people wishing to get involve temporarily, be free to leave and return, where they will always feel at home (which allow to be farmer and to travel). Some friends of the project whom can come every week-ends, or holidays and participate from time to time. And every other people wit every other ideas.

* 5 to 10 “pillar people” (or more) ready to get involve for longer term, willing to create that “place for living” from the start, to always bring new ideas, and give ourselves the strength to realize.

* Some people can support with donations, not to the people from community, but to the future generations, whom would be able to feed themselves and exist on this piece of earth: financial donation can help to buy the property , as well as donations of materials, equipment and tools… Get in contact!

Precisely:

The idea would be to keep on growing goats and sale the cheese on local market, which is some work already, so, some money coming in from the start. Time after time, starting to do the market with the horses, skidding, (two horses can also be here from the start), horse farming, bee keeping, poultry farming, fruit forest, various workshops to create/build what we need (cf, wood, metal, textile, leather, wool (sheep and lama farming)…)

When?

The gathering of the people at the farm can start around 2015, but we can already start connecting together, meet each other, and start learning different skills, thinking, imagining, visiting and experiencing other communities…

So, that’s it, we just have to… I am waiting at you all!! And, don’t hesitate to spread the word!
